Hello there,

As the Chairman and Managing Trustee of Sri Maruthi Bhaktha Samajam Trust, which manages this Temple, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this site and to talk to you about Viswaroopa Adhivyadhihara Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Swamy Temple at Nanganallur, Chennai, Tamilnadu State.

The Temple is something very unique. The Swamy Vigraha is 32 feet high and made up of a single rock, that is monolithic. The black granite pedestal resembles a lotus. The efforts that were taken were unique in nature. In fact, initiative was taken by a small group of 10 / 15 persons without having any idea as to how finally the efforts will fructify and how the Temple can come through, etc. But the great Paramacharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt did take the stone and keep it on his head and offered his blessings. At that time itself we concluded that we will have divine grace and we proceeded with our efforts and believe me, ladies and gentlemen, the way in which we were guided right through from the beginning there was something divine which made us all feel that we are only instruments in the hands of Lord Anjaneya and we had no role to play other than taking the initiative. Every moment was guided, every work has been measured and every detail has been carved by Lord Anjaneya which made us all feel we are only instruments in His hands. It might look as if the gigantic cranes had made Him stand, but we know that it is the simple faith of hundreds of devotees who had gathered there on that day had made it possible. The way in which the Kumbabhishekam of Lord Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Swamy Temple was performed was simply great. 32 cows were given as Godhanam and there was non-stop poor feeding for 18 hours. All the rituals were scrupulously followed. It may be of interest to note that the God has been happily called " Adhivyadhihara Bhaktha Anjaneya " meaning the extinguisher of the first disease of man namely " Karma " and the diseases which the man goes through because of that Karma. The temple has come up very well and it is also being maintained and administered well by the Trustees. We cannot name any single person who has contributed to this holy cause since many stood by us in the important hours. It takes heart beat to believe the kind of crowd of devotees who throng the temple everyday, more so in the evenings on Saturdays to take His blessings. The very unique feature of this temple is the continuous distribution of Prasadam during the temple hours.

In future, we have plans to adorn Him with Gold (Gold Kavacham). Only He has to complete this job and we require lot of funds for this. We also have an idea to build a Kalyana Mandapam and an Auditorium. We are also planning to build a permanent Gohsala, a Veda Patasala and a lot of other projects like Gnanavapi, etc. When once these objects are fulfilled, Lord Anjaneya will be happy because the name of Rama will be glorified everywhere. But, as far as this Temple in concerned, our plans have never been kept as dreams; God translates all out dreams into reality. We are optimistic that with the selfless co-operation of all devotees like you, all our efforts will get fructified since we are specially backed by this mighty Lord Anjaneya.
